365weeks CEO journey

Exploring hands-on CEO challenges and the realities behind growth.

365 Weeks: The Journey Begins

I’m not a chef, even though my teenage daughter insists on calling me one.
I’m not an influencer either, despite spending far more time with journalists this past year than I ever expected.
And I’m no longer a corporate manager — that chapter closed back in 2022.

I’m just someone building a company, learning along the way, and sharing the journey as honestly as I can.

Most of my time goes into being the CEO of Koykan, a company I co-founded and am scaling the best way I know how. A good share of my days is still spent doing the work of a CFO, mostly because I believe a CEO should understand that role deeply before bringing in the right person to take it over. And then there’s we:innov8, our IT ProServe company where Koykan is, for now, the majority owner — so the CTO responsibilities landed on me, probably because I spent more than 20 years working as an IT manager.

It’s a strange mix of hats, but for now, it works — and every one of them teaches me something I wouldn’t want to miss.

I started this blog to reflect on the realities of the CEO journey — the decisions that shape the company, the challenges that require steady focus, and the lessons that accumulate along the way. It’s a place where I document what I’m learning in practice, with the hope that sharing these experiences adds clarity both to my own thinking and to anyone navigating similar paths.

Why 365weeks?
Because 365 weeks represents the timeline I’ve set for the company I lead to reach a public listing. It also reflects the period in which I’ve learned that I can create meaningful impact on any project I commit to.

Looking forward.

See you around — week by week.
